Dear members of the scientific world,
Our newborn journal "Journal of Natural Pharmaceuticals" (JNP) is growing fast and getting more reputed. In this upcoming issue, we have had more international contributions. The world of plants is amazing as plants provide a big biosource for research. Among them, the medicinal plants play a major role in drug development research and they are being the targets of huge screening programs against many health-threatening diseases. Consequently, our scope of study is quite important in terms of drug targeting and discovery. In this sense, it is also noteworthy that the ethnopharmacological knowledge on medicinal plants should be recorded as they seem to vanish soon. We urgently need to preserve these data from each country on earth for our future pharmacognostical studies. Therefore, we would also like to welcome scientific contributions on ethnopharmacological knowledge on traditional medicines from specific regions to be published in JNP.
We thank all contributors of the past and present issues of JNP for their support and hope to meet you again in the next issues.
